Laboratory Operations Coordinator

Responsible for all aspects of departmental scientific operations and shared resources. Utilizes knowledge of shared resources and institutional, state and federal regulations pertaining to lab science to manage the department's scientific initiatives. Implements and maintains compliance and safety with institution- wide policies and procedures for the department. Leads group of senior scientific support staff to monitor compliance with policies and procedures. Investigates and resolves issues of non-compliance, as needed. Works with ARC leadership and department staff to ensure effective and efficient use of preclinical model space and shared resources in the ARC. Provides orientation for new hires and educates staff on Standard Operations Procedures (SOP's). Leads coordination efforts to maximize space management to meet the growing needs of the department.

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate scientific field required
  • MS or PhD preferred

Minimum Experience

  • Ten (10) years of post-degree work experience are required with a Bachelor's degree. Six (6) years of post-degree work experience are required with a Master's degree. Two (2) years of post-degree of work experience are required with a PhD
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
