A Research Lab Specialist position is available in Dr. Chunliang Li’s lab, in the department of Tumor Cell Biology. We are looking for a highly motivated research scientist to conduct research projects and basic lab management under supervision of the PI. The lab is interested in understand the non-coding enhancer function in cancer development with combined strategy of genome editing, long distant chromatin interaction and in vivo tumor modeling et al. Emphasis is placed on preclinical models/patient derived xenograft models of particular pediatric cancers, including medulloblastoma and others. The research specialist will be committed to perform the integrative study by using ChIP-seq of histone markers and transcription factors, ATAC-seq, Hi-ChIP, Capture-C and whole transcriptome RNA-seq to understand the mechanism of how functional enhancers are involved in tumorigenesis of medulloblastoma. Successful candidates should have deep understanding of basic molecular biology techniques, epigenomics, strong problem solving skills, critical thinking, and expertise in library construction of next-generation sequencing and data analysis. Those who have conducted scientific projects and published first author peer-reviewed papers are highly encouraged to apply for this position.
