Summary

A Research Technologist position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Fabio Demontis to study the molecular cell biology of aging and age-related diseases in the short-lived model organism Drosophila. The research technologist is expected to assist the principal investigator and senior lab members with the collection and analysis of data for specified research projects in an entry-level capacity. Properly conducts specific, but limited, projects and maintains efficient laboratory operations. Performs other duties as assigned or directed in order to meet the goals and objectives of the lab and the department.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in an appropriate scientific field is required.

Minimum Experience

Excellent basic math skills are strongly preferred.  Experience in molecular cell biology techniques and/or Drosophila genetics is preferred.
