The World’s Brightest Minds Always Innovate
At St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, we know what can be achieved when the brightest scientific minds face the fewest barriers. That’s why we provide world-class facilities, state-of-the-art technologies, and extraordinary support for your research to ensure scientific progress is never halted from a lack of resources. At St. Jude, you will be part of a collaborative, bench-to-bedside environment where you can see, firsthand, how your science translates into survival for the children we serve.
This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated junior scientist to join the Immunology Department at SJCRH in the laboratory of Dr. Thirumala Devi-Kanneganti (https://www.stjude.org/kanneganti). Our laboratory offers a strong team-based environment where you will conduct clinically-relevant research using a variety of molecular, biochemical, and cell-based technologies to understand how the innate immune system recognizes and responds to pathogens and how genetic mutations in innate immunity affect the development of infectious, inflammatory, and autoimmune diseases in humans.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage our model organism systems and various laboratory techniques. You will process primary model organism sample derivatives (DNA, RNA, protein) for analysis. Exceptional candidates should have a demonstrated proficiency in several aspects of molecular, cell, biochemical, or organismal biology. Other duties involve efficiently maintaining laboratory operations. All candidates are expected to have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
